Makaela Senfleben Health Room at St. Josephine Bakhita Orphanage

Dear Family and Friends,

Our angel, Makaela, is celebrating her 25th birthday in Heaven with Jesus. We know she is smiling, laughing, and living eternally with peace in Heaven. Although our hearts continue to ache without physically experiencing Makaela’s beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and thoughtful ways, we know that Makaela’s spirit is always present. She lives in all of us, reminding everyone to focus on peace, joy, gratitude, and unconditional love.

Our family has been praying for a way to continue Makaela’s spirit of giving and love. Our prayers were answered when we were given the opportunity to work in conjunction with St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, Jacyntha Shaw (Chair of Christian Concerns at St. Teresa of Calcutta), and The Little Sisters of St. Francis, to build the Makaela Senfleben Health Room at St. Josephine Bakhita Orphanage in Nambale, Kenya. This health room will provide vaccinations, wellness check-ups, and emergency treatment for children in need of medical care.

How You Can Help

As we continue to honor Makaela, we hope you will consider contributing to this worthy endeavor. One of Makaela’s personal goals was to travel to Africa and other parts of the world to provide speech and language services to children in need. The Makaela Senfleben Health Room truly represents everything about Makaela: caring for others; helping those who are struggling; building positive relationships; and working with children.

The estimated cost to build this structure is $10,000. We ask for your financial support in making this dream a reality.  Please know that 100% of your contribution goes directly toward the development, construction, supplies, and maintenance of the Makaela Senfleben Health Room. Also, your donation is tax deductible.

We thank you in advance for considering this opportunity. Our family is beyond grateful for your continued thoughts and prayers.

With Love,

The Senfleben-Mislang Family
